Emo represents youth subculture descended from the followers of the style in music of identical name. Emo girls commonly give preference to child's hairstyle like pigtails and bows. Both female and male representatives of emo culture generally get the ears pierced. They also sometimes have piercing on the face or other parts of body. Emo boys and girls also usually outline eyes with black mascara or eyeliner, when at the same time the lips are made close to the color of skin. As for the clothes, emo boys and girls give preference to the combination of black and pink color. Black refers to depression because of being misunderstood and rejected. Pink color emphasizes bright hopes of emo girls and boys for the future and their challenge to the common gloominess. The two colors are common for emo kids, but other provocative color combinations are also acceptable. Tight T-shirts, jeans and sneakers are the most common clothes for emo representatives. Emo culture is a particular trend of modern young people that assists them in expressing themselves and finding new friends that understand their vulnerable soul. |
